I'm also currently playing my v5. It the best version I have! My other versions(v4,v6,tama-go, tamagotchi+color) are boring. V5 is yet the best :)

I really enjoy it so far! I can't wait till I have a full family with a pet. It's nice because I can worry less about getting a specific character I want since there are three characters, and I'll probably like at least one of the three at any given time. I can't wait for them to grow up so I can play the other two games!

I have Hittoriko fish and my only complaint about it is that the screen pixes look very weak, even with a new battery., Kind of faded. But, it is an awesome Dinkie-like pet! ^_^

Sorry for the late reply, thank you. Im glad i got me a chicken fish and dog...im only missing the dino (which is rare i hear). Im actually pretty impressed by hittoriko, eventhough it looks cheapy, its a fun pet.
