-Was your Tamagotchi an Old Timer? The Matchmaker doesn't come to those.

Also if it is a V4 you could easily have missed her everytime because she only stays for 15 seconds.

What version is it? V4 matchmaker doesn't stay for very long . For future refrences when it's at right age just change the time to 10:00 am, 3:30 (or is it 3:00?)pm, and 7:00 pm.

There are chances that the Matchmaker won't visit. It isn't surprising about your tamagotchi dying. Though, there is a chance that she visited while you weren't there currently..
