I have 2 itchigotchis, and I can't get them to connect. I'm really confused on how you're supposed connect them. Could I have some help?

As long as both tamagotchis are at the toddler stage or higher- which your ichigotchis will be- you should be able to connect with no problem (tamagotchis can't connect when they are babies).
Just highlight the icon in the top right hand corner of both tamagotchi screens and press the B button once- "standby" should appear on both screens. Press B again and "proceed" should appear. Then the tamagotchis will connect and either play a game together or exchange gifts
