can tama get broken from getting too cold?

Depends how cold..... I don't think it's very likely, but just to be safe, maybe keep it in a normal tempeture!

When my tama gets cold it gets very slow on responding to the buttons, so keep it in a safe when it gets cold :~)

yes your tama can break in EXTREME cold. I would reccomend keeping it at a room temperature.Also away from moisture *but you probly already knew that * The LCD screen can crack and their is NOTHING you can do to fix that *unless you replace* That`s why I always keep my tamas in a bow and in their own little blankets.

You know, when things get cold, they slow down? Just like people.
If your tama gets TOO cold, then it will probably shut down, or break the tiny crystals keeping all the graphics working and stuff. So, yes, cold could probably break your tama. It all depends on how cold.

I ALWAYS!!! keep my tamas in a little Poodle bag to keep walm wen it was snowing i took my V2 outside and and it just went blank and wen i went in it went back on soooo yea it can break

Yep! It can brake! Just keep it inside a case or a bag or even just a pocket and it should be alright! memetchi_man The "tiny crystels" are called pixels! LOL! And yes it will go blank if it has broken! But SOMETIMES if you just give it a bit of a bang after it has been in a warm place it SOMETIMES start to work again. I hope I helped! 
yeah today i left my psp on a chair and i picked it up and my fingers went numb so i turned it on and it said on the screen... error.8956 malfunction frost200! exactly thatz!!!! so dont stuff your tama up like my psp
