I've been caring for the tentacle guy with the funny mouth and antenna and I want to get Zachi the secret alien character! I got my guy up to full discipline and I've been taking perfect care, but by accident I just let him drop below one heart in hunger, I fixed it right away, but then I did it again in happiness! Will I not get zachi?! PS He's 11 years old.

No one is exactly sure how to get the secret characters on P1 or P2. 
Some say it's if you take perfect care of Zukitchi (P2) or Masktchi (P1), but many people have taken awful care of those two characters and still gotten Zatchi (P2) or Bill (P1)! 
It seems that it's just completely random. You should get Zatchi (I think taking perfect care does help, but it doesn't garruntee it) if you've taken good care. Two hearts empty here and there isn't bad.
