I could rant about the topic of what not to like in Harry Potter forever, but for your sake I won't!

To make a long story short, I don't like how they portray witch craft as good.

Lev. 19:31

" 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.' "

Gal. 19-21

"19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."

As you can tell from these Bible verses, God does not like witch craft and because He does not like it, it has no place in my life- even if it's just a book.

Witch-craft is acually a rligion, and witches never do bad! They believe and support God and do what God asks

Ok.I see but i love it and no offence have you memorised the bible or something?
Haha, I wish.

I use www.biblegateway.com .

I used the topical index.

[in reply to mimitchigirl2000]

They don't serve my God- the One who died on the cross for us!

If you believe the Bible and God, you wouldn't say they do what He asks.

He wouldn't ask them to deal with demons.

I don't think anyone should be offended by this topic, any past topics, or Harry Potter in general. It's a made-up book, the magic isn't real. If you're that upset that a story is against your God, just avoid these topics. Remember, it's not real.

And, yes I do. :) I'm planning on getting the seventh book as a late birthday present to complete my collection.

I admit it: I am obsessed with the Harry Potter series! I'm practically J.K. Rowling's biggest fan! Well, maybe. EDIT: I'm actually her 2nd biggest fan. 1st has to be Sweet Kandi! :)

Favirite character: Harry Potter (Ginny Weasley too)

There hobbies: Harry - Magic, Quittich Figuring out the Dark Lord's plans, Ginny - Having boyfriends! XD Nah, more like magic and friends

There enmy: THE DARK LORD

There friends: Harry - Ron, Hermione, Ginny - Ginny- Harry, Hermione

There favirite drink: Both Butterbeer

There favirite food: ???

BTW: Its Evada Kadavra!

Please, wwefan0704! That is unnecesary. You have no reason not to know the TamaTalk Rules after 3 months here! And if you haven't bothered looking over them, I suggest you should now.

If you would like to post your opinion in a topic, please do it nicely and also respect others' opinions too. Remember in foul-mouthing a book you're foul-mouthing the author, who, in my opinion, should still be respected for her hard work.

I don't want to cause you any offence, but it is just a story. It's no different to TV programs about murder or anything else like that. I don't believe it can encourage witchcraft if there is no such thing. Note - There is such thing as murder. It is not to be encouraged!

As I say, no offence intended. I don't actually believe in God.. so my views are obviously very different.

EDIT: I apologize for the double-post. (laptop is running a bit slow today)
