Why do people celebrate post counts so much?

It's my biggest pet peeve about this site. The post count topics should not be allowed any more. It's so silly.

To celebrate how many posts you've made? I just don't get it.

As a tama guide, maybe you should know better than to contribute to the perpetuation of such a non-issue

LOL, I must admit I agree with this though I still post that kind of thing myself sometimes or in someone else's celebration.

Maybe there should be a SPECIAL topic devoted for this kind of celebration.
