are you talking about v4 if so on v4 there are no odd or even charters
just certain boy girl type

maybe your just taking care of it the same way you've taken care of your other generations! 
this has happened to me before except i kept getting a megatchi or a masktchi. turns out i wasnt taking good care of my tamas thats why i kept getting those characters!!
