how long does your tama have to be alive to evolve into a toddler?

For me, without putting it on pause, takes 1 hour and 2 minutes, always.

Your tamagotchi usually has to be a baby for an hour, nap included and without pausing it, until it turns into a toddler. If you play a game seconds before it evolves, however, it will normally take an extra minute after the game is finished in order for it to evolve. When it goes to sleepas a baby, this means that it has been 30 minutes of life, just to let you know in case you forgot to keep track of the time. Hope I answerd your question!
