This is chapter one for a story I'm working for:
You might ask these questions: What if Kyoko never died? What if Tohru and Yuki were friends as soon as high school began? What if Arisa and Saki knew the secret of the Juunishi? What if Hatori was still with Kana? What would happen if Tohru was hit by the car? What if Akito wasn't so mean and protective of the zodiac? What if there was a Kyo fan club as well? What if Hiro wasn't so sarcastic? What if Kisa didn't like Tohru? Well, you'll see what happens if all of these questions came true!

Chapter 1
Tohru Honda and her two best friends, Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima had finally entered their freshman year of high school a few months back. As soon as school started Tohru was lost and hopeless, even with Arisa and Saki with her, for they too were hopeless in a brand new school.
They had actually transferred from their old high school after two months there. After wandering aimlessly for a few minutes, they bumped into the charming Yuki Sohma, who walked them to their class, which he happened to be in.
At first, they had an encounter with the "Prince Yuki" fan club. The leader was Motoko Minagawa, who snapped at Tohru more than the other two girls. Arisa frightened them with her tough "Yankee" street talk, but what really made them flee was Hanajima's electro-poison waves.
Since then, they had been pretty close friends with Yuki and his cousin, Kyo Sohma. No matter what, the boys wouldn't let the girls hug either one of them. Not even if they felt upset or anything.
It was that one sunny day in May when Tohru woke up late on a Sunday morning. Her mother, Kyoko Honda was in the kitchen making breakfast that the phone rang. Tohru rushed to answer it, seeing as how Kyoko was already busy.
Tohru was shocked when she heard Yuki on the other end. "Um, Honda-san...I was wondering if you would like to come over... to my house and meet my cousins. I've already asked Uotani-san and Hanajima-san and they have agreed to come!"
A smile came across Tohru's face. "Of course I'll come!" she happily squealed, "Just let me finish breakfast and I be right there!" Yuki sounded pleased. "Okay, but I must warn you, the house isn't very... clean... or homey..." he remarked.
Tohru hung up the reciever and walked back into the kitchen. Kyoko was standing there, bowl in one hand, spoon in the other and a cigarette lit in her mouth. "Hey, To...ru...who wz...that?" Kyoko muttered, trying to talk while multi-tasking.
"Oh, that was one of my friends from school! His name is Yuki Sohma. He's really handsome and he just invited me over to his house and--" Kyoko cut Tohru off so she could make a stupid comment.
"Ohmigosh! Tohru has a crush on Yuki Sohma? What a cute new couple!" Kyoko teased. Tohru giggled and said, "Mom! He's a friend and nothing more! Nothing..." she looked down, suddenly remembered that she had somewhere to get to.
"Oh no!" Tohru blurted out, "I'm late! Okay, bye mom! I'll see ya!" Kyoko giggled as Tohru ran out of the house in her pyjamas. "3...2...1..." Kyoko counted.
Tohru ran into the house, shrieking. "I forgot to put on some clothes!" she exclaimed. Kyoko just walked into their cozy living room and sat down, chuckling at how ridiculous Tohru was being that day. More than ususal.
As Tohru got to the house, she knocked on the door. A beautiful person in a kimono welcomed her. "Welcome, Miss Honda! It's so wonderful to meet you!" the person greeted. Tohru wondered who this person was? It was a man, but a really kind and good-looking man. She wondered if all the Sohmas were good-looking?
Tohru took a wild guess and mumbled, "Sh-Shigure-san?" The person giggled and stepped back, welcoming Tohru into the house. "Oh no-no...I'm--" Another man came out of no where and said, "Hello there Tohru! My name is Shigure Sohma!"
What a beautiful person. Tohru was so stunned, the only words that escaped her mouth were, "He...Shi...bea...wo.." Shigure chuckled, then said, "Come right this way. Everyone is in the living room."
Tohru and the other man followed behind. She was too shy to ask his name. Maybe he didn't want her to know...or did he? She walked into the room to find Saki, Arisa, Kyo and Yuki sitting around a table, just talking.
Saki noticed Tohru and flashed a warm smile in her direction. "Well, hello Tohru-kun!" Yuki spun around and gestured for her to come sit. She took a seat between Kyo and Arisa. Arisa put her arm on Tohru's shoulder and said, "Hey, we were just talking about how you and Princey over there would make an awesome couple!"
Tohru and Yuki's faces both turned dark Crimson. 'What? Does everyone really think that? Oh no...this isn't good!!' Saki hugged Tohru and said, "Don't worry, Tohru-kun, she was just teasing you. We were just talking about the Sohma family!"
Tohru was confused. "What about them?" she asked, puzzlingly. "Apparantely, there are more Sohmas coming over today!" Arisa yawned, stretching her arms up into the air. Tohru looked so happy with her hands clenched and a grin on her face.
This was the first place, besides Arisa and Saki's, that Tohru had been invited to. She was happy to meet Yuki and Kyo and Shigure-san. But she still wanted so badly to find out who the other man was...
