ok i paused my tama all night he was 1 now he's 2 and i paused him how?

Well, you could have just not paused him for long enough for him not to age.
Say you pause him for 23 hours out of 24 hours in the day. Eventually he'll age because the one hour from each day will add up to 24, and he'll age one year.
