Hi! I'm especially interested in hearing from those who have achieved special characters. I first got Makiko with my last generation. It was fairly rapid. I had read that a special character "may evolve" if you have 350 points in the right category, plus 100 other points. About ten seconds after I went over 350 arts/fashion points, my Memetchi evolved into Mamiko. I was really excited, but also surprised - I thought it would be harder than that!

Anyway, now I'm on my next generation, which is also a Memetchi. Expecting the same as last time, I acquired all the points necessary early in the evening yesterday. And ..... nothing!!!

My question - have other people had this experience? Are you guaranteed a special character if you meet the requirements, or is it serendipitous? I'm curious if I did something wrong, or if I was just lucky the first time.

I'd love to gain some insight here!

yah I got that too my tama was already on its last stage (it was a mametchi) when i was playing with it then, it suddenly went back to the original state then i pressed a button and it became a teinsatchi and it never came back again.and its baby is also becoming a teinsatchi.
by the way, my mametchi evolved because its intellectual is 999 points already.

I know this tamagotchi is not a special charecter but after all it is the first tamagotchi ever *I think* But anyways I got a mimitchi. I thought it was going to be hard but it was actualy pretty easy. After you get your Tsubutchi you have to make sure it has no piles of poop next to him and watch his/her hunger/happy hearts and exercise it till it wont exercise anymore. most likely it will envolve at like example 10:00 or 10:30. usualy it wont envolve at a time like example 10:37. you should then get a Harutchi. after you get a Harutchi you should get your schollarship to kindergarten in about 30 min. Let Harutchi go to sleep. when it wakes up if it becomes ringotchi if you make it exercise till it wont anymore, the next stage it should turn into Mimitchi.

Kuchipatchi101, I don't think Mimitchi is the first character. In fact she wasn't even on the first version. The first version, released in 1996, contained the characters: Bebitchi, Marutchi, Tamatchi, Kuchitamatchi, Mametchi, Ginjirotchi, Mas(u)k(u)tchi, Kuchipatchi, Nyorotchi, Tarakotchi and Bill/Gaijintchi or Oyajitchi (depending on whether it was Japanese or US version). Kuchipatchi was the main character. The second version released either late 1996 or in 1997, had Mimitchi.

Ontopic: Did you have at least 100 Skill Points total in other areas? Maybe you need some extra bits.

She was a charecter but she wasent on the tamagotchi toys yet. She first appeared in a Tamagotchi special called Tamagotchi adventures "now Museum,Now you dont" (found on youtube).

I have heard the stories of some people who say they had to get a lot more than 350 points to get a special character, up to 400!!! So I think you should just keep getting points until you get a Makiko.

P.S. I have a Memetchi, 3 yrs. old, still at school, 191 Fashion, 70 Intelligence and 76 kindness! Yes, I'm going for Makiko!!!

I have got a tensaitchi right now on my V4!

it evolved from Mametchi and his stats are:

intelligence: 375
fashion/arts: 155
kindness/social: 110

Makiko kind of looks like Memetchi, but more girl - like.

Well, I added on a lot more points in all categories, but never did get Mamiko that time. I never figured it out. I do have this funny feeling that you should have the 100 points in the other categories before you get the 350 in the arts/fashion category.

Now I have a Mametchi and am going to use this strategy to see if I can get Tensaichi.

I am trying to turn a Ponytchi into a Makiko right now.

She's at 144 (Intelligence) / 374 (Arts/Style) / 63 (Kindness) and she is still a Ponytchi.

I might try increasing her Kindness points to more than 100 if I have time before the Matchmaker comes to visit, but I have to admit I am becoming convinced that I need a Memetchi to get a Makikotchi

This is not a special character but I got a main character Memetchi.
(The main characters are Mametchi,mimitchi I think, kuchipatchi and memetchi).
Ohh and to get makiko i think you need to get her as a grown-up but I don't know.

I have a question on v3 is Sekitoritchi a special character? The dude in the skirt. Really because I had him once actually her once and I didn't ever think I had a special character. Cuz that's really cool If I had a special character.

I have just gotten Makiko! It was actually fairly easy to get her. I cant wait until my next genaration so I can try for a new special character. But an unusual thing is that when I hit 350 points in the needed area I had to wait a while until Memetchi evolved.

I got Memetchi this morning. About halfway through recess, which is 20min long, I got the required skill points. At the end of recess I paused. About 5min into lunch, while I was eating, I heard the evolution bleep and I got MAKIKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
