Yep. I borrowed it off my friend. It was such a sad book. <_< The ending was soooo sad...It made a lot of sense to me (especially the food mentioned in the book) since I'm Japanese...lol.

For the people who never read it...this is what it is about.:

It is about this japanese family that moves from Illanoise to Georgia around the 1950's(i think). The mom has to work in afactory where you have to wear a diaper thing to work cause you couldn't leave work to use the restroom. There are 2 sisters who are basically the main characters...Lynn and Katie (they are japanese.) They were like best friends. But Lynn gets terribly sick and becomes a whole new person...andKatie now doesn't like it. Katie has a bad fight with Lynn when Lynn throws her milk and says i hate you to Katie. So, when it was New Years (i think...can't remember)...Katie left Lynn alone in the room for a party or something...and Lynn dies while Katie was gone. So, at the funeral, Katie talks about Lynnand says some really nice stuff...i can't remember.....

Oh! And the book is called Kira Kira because Lynn and Katie used to call everything Kira Kira which means Glittery.......

It was soooo sad.....
