how old are they?
firstly, make sure they are adults.
second, make sure they have four hearts.
but from my experience, my friend's and my tama got two hearts only and they got married. i never used the love potion. i just kept connecting and let them visit each other.

sometimes the love potion doesnt work, and my bff and i used the love potion on our v3s and it took until the next day at a student of the month assembly for it to have babies!

OK heres the requirements:
they need to be adults, friends and at least two to three hearts
if you do just connect and give them the potion and after that if they still dont get married you should just keep on connecting until they do
sometimes if you are just acquaintances or friends it will just raise your friendshipto at least one heart

If not, their to young you have to be at least 5

yeah, I'm in the same boat. I can get them to kiss when I exchange presents, and they have 4 hearts, but they wont have a baby! how do they have babies are you like visiting and it just appears?

well its supposed to go this way al least i am pretty sure determining on which gender it is (girl or boy) you have to get love potion then use it on only 1 tamagotchi connect do visit then they should kiss when u're tamagotchi comes back check u're friends list and there should be 4 heats along the bottom of the person uu connected with. when they are both old enough they will have a bab y(u will get 2 of them matchmaker comes seperetly)
