Okay, you know those bedtime story books that had a few stories in them and your parents would read stories out from them for you when you were little? Well I'm thinking of making a book like that. Only it's all about Tamagotchi and Tamagotchi stories.
I think we could all try and add our own short stories to this collection- if you're stuck for ideas, try thinking of some of the main features of some Tamagotchi and make up a story about how they got it.
Anyway here goes. I've already written four stories (but they're all REALLY short).
Professor Banzo and the Tamagotchi
Professor Banzo and his assistant, Mika-chu, walked along the stream together in the moonlight when Professor Banzo spotted flashing lights in the sky.
"Look!" Professor Banzo said to Mika-chu. "A UFO! And it's heading our way!"
"Don't be so silly, Banzo!" Mika-chu said. "It's probably an aeroplane."
The 'UFO' moved closer and closer. You could now clearly see it was a spaceship. The two of them watched as the spaceship descended to Earth.
A latch opened and the Tamagotchi came out. Afraid, Professor Banzo and Mika-chu turned back to walk to their laboratory. The interested Tamagotchi followed.
Back in his laboratory, the Professor found that the Tamagotchi didn't seem comfortable on Earth, so he made them little egg-shaped cases to survive, and Mika-chu painted them. And thus the Tamagotchi Egg was created.
How the Memetchi got Large Eyes
A long time ago, Memetchi never had large eyes. Their eyes were so small, they didn't let much light in at all, making it very hard to see! They weren't the only Tamagotchi with small eyes, of course, there were also Hashitamatchi and Ichigotchi who also had small eyes.
At that time there was a Gotchi King who ruled very wisely and very well. When he grew too old to rule the Gotchi Kingdom, his son, who was spoiled and nasty and hated Memetchi was to rule. The spoiled son decided to make all Memetchi become slaves and work in the vegetable fields.
Some Memetchi had to do tunnelling underground. They found it very had, because having small eyes that didn't allow much light in them. Some became dizzy and fell, but they weren't noticed.
After a few weeks of tunnelling, Kestrel the Memetchi was ordered to leave the tunnels and help work on the potato fields. Still depressed, she made some prayers to the Angelgotchi. "Futagotenshii from above, please help the tunnelling Memetchi!"
The Futagotenshi were listening. Seeing this was not a greedy prayer, they decided to answer it and gave all Memetchi large eyes that let in enough light, so the tunnelling Memetchi could see better and Memetchi still have large eyes today.
Mametchi and Mimitchi
A Mametchi and a Mimitchi walked up opposite sides of a hill. They were rivals and each would try their hardest to outdo each other.
When they met, they yelled, "Get out of MY way!"
Mametchi said, "I'm smarter than you, so get off this hill!"
"You're wrong, Mametchi," Mimitchi said. "I'M the most intelligent Tamagotchi in the universe!"
"Prove it!" the Mametchi said. So the Mimitchi cleared her throat and said, "E=MC squared."
"That's nothing!" said the Mametchi. "You're just trying to be smart! I know the word 'Flauccinaucinihilipilification' means the estimation of a thing as worthless!"
The argument continued for a few hours until a Marutchi came up the hill.
"Why are you arguing?" Marutchi said. "Neither of you know everything!"
"Is that so?" Mametchi asked. "You're just a stupid Marutchi!"
"Well neither of you seem to have heard of having fun!" the Marutchi said.
Mametchi shrugged and walked away.
Marutchi and Kuribotchi
One time a rich, spoiled Marutchi found a poor, withered Kuribotchi. Marutchi stopped to laugh and feel proud that she had beautiful, expensive clothing on, instead of withered rags like the Kuribotchi. Soon a Ginjiro-tenshi came.
"Why are you laughing?" the Ginjiro-tenshi said to the Marutchi. "The clothes of that Kuribotchi's spirit is blindingly beautiful. Your spirit's clothes? Hopefully your sprit can get clothing better than rags."
"What?" Marutchi said. "Kuribotchi isn't wearing anything but I am wearing a beautiful fur coat!"
"I said the clothing of your spirit, my dear!" Ginjiro-tenshi replied.
Marutchi stared with a puzzled look as the Ginjiro-tenshi walked away.
