Should I get a ps3?

At the moment, I am debating to myself.. Whether I should get a ps3.

The people who say its Rubbish are wrong. Yes, its Expensive. But at the moment, my Brother is saying he's gonna pay half (So I only have to fork out $400.. I earn $2000 a year, so thats not much).

So.. Should I? I mean.. Theres some decent games coming out soon so now would be a good time for me to get one.

would have to say; wait until later on. I mean, when the Ps2 came out it was 500 Pounds (English money).

Then when i waited aboit it went down to 300. So my choice would be wait abit longer until the price comes down.

It's your choice. Personally, I'd go for a Nintendo DS or an Xbox 360.

but i have a ps2 and psp and i dont want a ps3 they cost too much and i already have those 2...so i would say no

i wouldn't because it's basically a ps2 with some added features, and it's a rip off aswell

What if the system breaks, or have a bug in it? You and you're brother wasted $200 a piece... (or you could take it back)..

To me the Nintendo makes the best games, and all they're more cheaper. =]

I make my system decisions based on the games out for the system. If the games available look interesting to you then sure go for it. I have never been a fan of the PlaySatation games in general. I just adore having a PSP but the games on it pretty much suck. There are 3 really good games and that's it.

Personally I'd save the money for something even bigger like a car. PS3 is not getting the best press. What do your friends think of it? Will they laugh at it? It seems to be the Edsel of the gaming world. *look up Edsel* Awesome car but turned out to be a laughing stock.

If you really want to throw your money in a fire,then flush the ashes of the money down the toilet,go right ahead and buy it.

I allready own the Wii.

As for the "saving up for the car" - At the moment, Im not really considering that. In a few years (3 years) Im gonna be taking some Motorbike tests, So thats out the window .

By the time I have enough money, No doubt it will have reduced a little (Sony say they will reduce it by $100 soon)

I'd wait unttil the price drops or so. I don't own one. I own a Wii and currently gathering older systems as well.

Um... looks don't matter for a gaming system. I have the Gameboy SP, I think it's pretty ugly but I like playing the gams I have. Such as the GameBoy version of Super Mario Bros. 3.

 

I heard that the system freezes alot. Sure it has good graphics but even the PS2 wasn't $600 when it came out. I got the PS2 the month it came out. I really love that. It freezes occationally but I like it. I'm sure it's better than the PS3. Sure the PS3 has good graphics but graphics don't tell how good the game is. The games pretty much suck (well, most of them) on the PS3. If the game has good graphics, that doesn't mean the game is good itself.

Get it. Ps2 was great, ps1 was great, psp was great, im getting a ps3 soon also.great graphics and all the ppl who say theres no good games GIVE IT TIME!

the wii doesn't have any good games other than 6. ps3 has 5. But look at its future. warhawk ,lair, haze, SOCOM, kingdom hearts 3 and alot more. what does wii have? metroid prime 3 and SSBB.
