Sims 2 Pets Help

i really enjoy playing the Sims, but I have just a few quick questions about gameplay...

for sims 2 pets on ps2

1. I've read that you can make other towns besides Whiskerton. How do you make other towns?

2. Ok, this may seem realllly simple but it is confusing to me. WHEN do you type in the cheat gnome (sometimes called the Master code)? Also what is the correct code for the cheat gnome

I only know about the sims 2 pets on GameCube. Sorry

^ I think the console games are pretty much the same.

ON GameCube, I know you type in the Cheat Gnome code whenever

during gameplay. Whiskerton? Is that what you called the town? On GameCube, you

name your town and that's the one you keep. You can make different characters, and get

new homes from homes that already have people living in them...
