Well I had a :ichigotchi: but I was expeting a Ponytchi and it evoled into a Hanatchi. They aren't in the same family. Why did this happen?

 
Hanatchi is a universal character. You can get any universal adult no matter what family you're in. No one knows for sure why sometimes people get universal characters. But I have noticed that I get them when I don't get my Tama many skill points...
