Glitches occur when the battery is running out of juice. Replace it with the battery type given in the instruction manual, and download your tamagotchi and try connecting again. It should work

I've also had this happen. It probably means you can't hold any items. But I think it might be a partial glitch...

the max items is 32 and the max food is 15 4 both

well, you either have too many items, meals, or snacks. PeaceFrog777

The v4s are pretty glitched anyway. Try replacing the battery, and if that doesn't work then you must be selecting present when you connect. If this is the case, you have the max number of items (32) or food (15 for meals and 15 for snacks). Delete or eat some to make room.
