Yeah, how long it lives depends on what character you have. I know Mimitchi and probably Mametchi live indefinately if you keep them healthy, but the others have a lifespan.
as a baby it dies ! ive never got an aduld!

haha

I remember getting that

I walked into ebgames and I always look at the used gameboy games, and I saw it, and like, tried to get it through the glass, and yelled "MINE! MINE!"

I got one a couple months ago for like 5 bucks at gamestop and i find it overly repetitive...but when i`m trying to stay up late at night *liike to tell my mom something important, she gets home late, I`ll play it because i don`t want them to die >.>

Edit It`s actually a gameboy original game... but anyway.

I have it!

I've been mentioning how we should put a post about it in the Library Boards of the site so people know more about it, very few people know that game even exsisits.

If I hadn't lost it I would gladly scan some pictures of the instruction booklet for the Library section.

in fact there is 3 gameboy tamagotchi games:

the first one is p1-p2(japanese and english)

the second is forest and ocean (japanese only)

the third is osutchi mesutchi(japanese only)

I bought them from a store called street-of-game on ebay.

ps: they are bw gameboy games, not color!

gamu de hakken tamagotchi

I have the first two Japanese ones, and they both show up in color on my GameBoyColor. Real color, not just shades like you would see when you play a b&w game on the GameBoyColor.

I think these games will also work in b&w on the b&w GameBoy.
