When J.K Rowling was on Jonathan Ross she said the last book is a 'blood bath', unless I misheard because I was a little tired .

We're not talking about the movies, we're talking about the books. The books are much better than the movies.

The people at swim practice were actually talking about this today. I think that Hermione is going to die, and so will Voldemort. Or maybe Harry and Voldemort will both die. I'm pretty sure Ron will live though.

I think that harry will die, causing voldermort to die because of the link between them (thus killing off 2 main characters) unless you don't count voldermort as a main character i think that ron will die saving hermione or something.

I know two really good sites about Harry Potter - pm me if you want their names.

I don't think Harry and Voldemort would both die because it's too predictable. I don't think JK Rowling would write something like that. Maybe Snape will die. I'm real excited to see if he'll turn out good or bad.

I think you're right XD I've heard that too.

I think Snape dies. Who else, I dunno.

Not a big fan of the series, but here's my guess:

I think Harry Potter will pass away in the last book. The reason for this guess is I think that J.K. Rowling wants that series to end. If she keeps Harry alive in the last book and makes a '...and he lived happily every after' ending, don't you think another writer/company will make up a new series about "What happened to Harry Potter after his Hogwarts experience?" Or even a famous director can cast a movie dealing with the after life of his witch craft friends, etc.

She's to smart to let that slip...Who would want their beloved story they have made for such a while be a remake later on in the years? ;)

Just a logical guess, but we all have to wait and see about who survives and who doesn't .

This is a good point. Although I think her fans would never forgive her if she did that X3 Although, JK did say that the last chapter or chapters of the book are for what happens in the end. Perhaps she can tie the knots so tight nobody can make any sequels.

That is a good point. But, later, people might make books about "If Harry didn't die." Just like if Brian, from Hatchet didn't get rescued. It's all about money, and I'm sure in the future people will find a way to make more money off of Harry Potter, even if he died.

EDIT: After reading what pyonchit said, I think that Ron will end up working at the Ministrey of Magic, like his father.

Good point as always, fluffums :'D

Fanfiction definantly works like that. People bring back their favorite dead characters all the time.

I personally think that there will be more money in the merchandise then the actual remaking of series myself- Board games, video games, those jelly beans, stuffed animals etc. I've even seen a book debating wether Snape is bad or good. (I think he works for himself.)

I don't really know- I guess I don't feel a strong connection to the Harry Potter series; I can't seem to think up any good predictions at all. (I mean, the "Snape dies" was sort of halfhearted on my part :\)

I think that Harry might be a horcrux.

Chapter 18, page 245, 9th line down.
Harry says:"Voldemort put a bit of himself in me?"

A Horcrux is the word used for an object in which a person has conceled part of their soul.
Professor Slughorn explains it best in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince when he is explaining the term to Tom Riddle. It is explained in various different sections so I will not put the page or line number but all the following can be found in the 23rd chapter.I changed some of the wording so it'll make more sense.

"You split your soul and hide part of it in an object outside the body. Then, even if one's body is destroyed, one cannot die, for part of the soul remains earthbound and undamaged. But of course, exsitence in such a form......few would want it, very few. Death would be preferable. The soul is supposed to remain intact and whole. Splittng the soul is an act of violaton, it's against nature. You do this by an act of evil-the supreme act of evil. By committing murder. Killing rips the soul apart. The wizard intent upon creatin a horcrux would use the damage to his advantage: he would encase the torn piece - how?-There is a spell, do not ask me, I don't know!"

That is as much evidence that I could find but basically - a Horcrux is made when a wizard puts part of his soul into something else. And for each Horcrux he wanted he needs to kill one person. We know that when Voldemort went to kill the Potters, he killed James and then told Lilly she didn't have to die because he only wanted to make one Horcrux (Harry).

Now, why would he want to make Harry a Horcrux? Why didn't he make someon else a Horcrux? He might had wanted Harry as a Horcrux because he was still youg and that meant he would live longer so if he had made someone older a Horcrux he wouldn't have lived as long.

Has anyone else noticed that all the times Voldemort could have killed Harry and he didn't?
-1. In Philosopher's Stone, down in the last chamber, Quirrel tries to strangle Harry. Why didn't he just take out his wand and do Avada Kedavra?
-2.In Chamber of Secrets, Tom Riddle had Harry's wand. Why didn't he kill Harry there and then?
-3. In Prisoner of Azkaban, Wormtail could have easily killed Harry in Hogwarts but he didn't because (and this is stated in the book) he didn't know what he'd get in return and he probably knew that Voldemort would need him to return to power.

In the first three books it's safe to assume that Harry wasn't killed because Voldemort needed him to return to full power.

-4. In Goblet of Fire, Harry was tied to the gravestone of Tom Riddle Senior and when Voldemort was re-born he could have easily killed Harry but he didn't, he let him down from the gravestone and gave him back his wand because Harry had dropped it.
-5. In Order of the Pheonix, Harry is fighting the death-eaters and they could have easily killed him but they didn't. Also, when Dumbledore is fighting Voldemort, Voldemort could have turned around to Harry and killed him then.
-6. Voldemort wasn't in it to killed Harry but couldn't one of the deatheaters or Malfoy have killed him?

Maybe nobody killed Harry because Voldemort told them not to.

Also, what I find strange is, there was a website set up called Dumbledoreisnotdead.com and on that the person states that maybe Dumbledore planned to be killed by Snape but even if he had, everyone said that Dumbledore was the only one that protected Harry from Voldemort so why did he want to be killed? Did he want Harry to be unprotected?

That's just my oppinon, If anyone has anything to say on that then please, let me know.

There are a few websites with all the new book info already. :D There are pictures of the book inside and out and all the major events are listed. just look it up.

I found it on Yahoo News earlier today. I can't find the link now. :D But if you look it up, everything is right there. There are at least 3 big sites now. I hope it's not true about the people the book is said to kill off. Voldemort yes (of course killed basically by love), naturally. But the others.. I hope it's misinformation. The pictures and scans of the books look authentic.

Also, I narrowed it down a bit. Deffinatly, Harry or Voldimort are going to die. Because, In the 5th, the prophecy said "Neither shall live while the other survives." So one has to kill the other. And, one of the friends could die trying to help Harry.

Me, my cousin and my sister all put our heads together an we came up with the same conclusion. We think that (if my first theory was correct) Harry finds out he's a Horcrux and tells Ron or Hermionie to kill him so that Lord Voldemort is another Horcrux down and maybe he tells them what he thinks the other Horcruxes are.

I don't think that Voldemort has made something belonging to Gryffindor made into a Horcrux because I think that the four founders each had one thing. Gryffindor had the sword, Slytherin had the locket, Hufflepuff had the cup and Ravenclaw had something else.

Has anyone else noticed that J.K. Rowling made a few mistakes when you compare the scond book to the fifth book? In Chamber of Secrets, Percy takes points off Harry and Ron for being in the girls bathroom but in Order of the Pheonix, before Harry and Ron find out the Malfoy is part of the Industrial (don't think thats it but whatever!) Squad and he takes points off them Ernie McMillan says that only teachers can take away points.

The new book comes out tonight in Ireland! I can't wait!

Yes, the books are much better, but are a bit too long, i got so bored of them i havent even read the 6th one yet! I know i can wait.
No! i dont want hermione to die, shes the best character in my opinion (but i LOVE the girl who plays Luna Lovegood in the new movie, she sooo good)
At one time i had heard that one book had said "one cannot die without the other" so either they both die, harry wins (the obvious choice), or an exciting twist eg harry dies, harrys friends die, they both live and call a truce. I was hoping Dumbledore would be the one tofinish off voldermort, but hes dead,so he cant
itd be great if something happened about all the dead souls coming out of voldermort if he dies-harrys parents would be alive once again, after all, they are seen as trapped spirits in goblet

I heard that JK Rowling cried when she wrote the last chapter. Hmm. I'm not sure as who will die. There have been ideas that Neville rises up as the chosen one, but I don't think that's true. So, I don't know that will happen. I'm getting the book tomorrow.
