Was this v1 only released in the UK?

Hey, I have a v1 tamagotchi that looks like this:

It's white with a yellow frame thing.

I bought this off ebay and not in a store a year ago so I'm not sure if it is only a release in the UK. I found that picture on the Amazon UK site. Also, the weight is in grams and not pounds.

Any and all help would be appreciated! I would just like to know if this was released in the United States or if I have one nobody else in the US would be likely to have.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that that is a Connexion. I don't think you can get them in the US.
