Some web sites are accepting pre-orders for the "Family Iro Iro! Tamagotchi Plus", a Japanese model due in stores (in Japan) November 23, 2007.

There will be two types of purchase bundles, similar to the way the Connection v4.5 is sold: (1) just the Tamagotchi toy. (2) the Tamagotchi toy plus a game DVD.

Is this suppose to be the latest release after the Ura Tama? It looks great I wonder how this will effect the Tamagotchi Connection V5. Great find!

The TamaSuku (Tamagotchi School) v1, then v2 came after the UraTama. (Click here to see what a TamaSuku looks like.) I'm not sure how popular the TamaSuku is in Japan, since it's quite different from previous models. Perhaps they won't make an English-language version of it, and the Connection V5 will be modeled after the Iro Iro. If that's the case, we'll probably have to wait until June 2008 to get it. (But then again, stores in my city haven't begun selling the V4.5 yet. I'm still waiting to find one.)

Every year on Nov.23rd, new Tamagotchis were released in Japan.
There is no information about "Yeh! Family iro iro tamagotchi" ...yet...
I heard at Tama Depa, someone said the new Tamagochi name would be "Fami-Tama".
So the new fami-tama will be released in that day.

Sometimes shops have information about new Tamagotchi before official news release.
Here in Japan, now, Tamagotchi is NOT popular.......

Really? Can you elaborate as to why the Tamagotchi's popularity is dropping in Japan?

I'm going to guess here and say it's because of overadvertising and producing too many Tamagotchi related stuff (seriously, a Tama DEPARTMENT store?!), plus the TamaSuku was kind of a Jump-the-Shark pet, IMO.

I'll ask for it from my relatives in Japan for Christmas along with the Yotsuba CD I want. That's how I got the Tama Suku.

The Japanese rumor is as follows.

The V5 and famitama contents are the same.
We can bring up five people in one Tamagotchi at the same time at the maximum.
As for V5, Tamagotchi fans in the world can play in one site.
More detailed contents are announced with Japanese comic books released
in September.

And I have done shopping on YesAsia, as I got my first Entama there. I'm upset that they charge so much, but the Tamagotchi pets are worth the money.

To be honest, nobody knows what the key is for just yet. Right now, I'm thinking it's for decoration.

Since there's no keychain loop on the side, though, it seems you can use the key's hook instead.
