I have a v2 and my sis has a v1 right? when we connect and i come to her tommy to give her a gift, i look like this black guy that has a straw hat that looks like a thimble, has 4 eyes, and a backward looking "s" on the hat. It also shows me like that on her friends list. What's up with that??

That's nazotchi, pretty common when connecting with V1. All characters from V1 are in V2, but there are tons of charcters in V2 that aren't in V1, so when they connect, it has to show up as nazotchi (because the V1 tamagotchi's computer doesn't know what other character to classify it as). Nothing to worry about, it's perfectly normal. :(
