I like the idea of the skills points because you can get better jobs if you have more of a particular skill point. What I don't like about the skill points is how it determines what character you get. I think that what character you get should be solely based on how well you take care of your tamagotchi.

What do you think about the skills points? Should you get a particular character just because you played a particular game more than others or because of how you take care of your tama?

When the V5 comes, I hope that it is more oriented on care and not points.

Tell me what you think! :)

Well.... i dont really mind much, but it is anoying if you cant find time to play with your tama :D

I do miss the days of care being the factor that your tamagotchi depends on to grow up. The skill points are fun to get different jobs, but I would much rather have them care oriented. It does make sense that if you have a ton of social points that your Tama will grow into one of the more social characters, but I dont like it. It is almost 100% predictable.

Heres hoping the V5s go back to the tried and true!

The V5's are not, just to let you know. They are going to be a remake of the FamiliTama, where you raise an entire family of Tamagotchi characters as opposed to just one.

Anyways, I think it is quite helpful yet at the same time tedious. If you reeeeally want the character you get a better chance of getting it but if you just want it random, then it's annoying. Also, if you keep getting the same character over and over again that is really frustrating.

It's moreso a disappointment for me to see new Tama owners, who have only ever played a Tamagotchi with skill points, play with their Tamas. I mean, they don't know what it was like being surprised at the character you were going to get, and being happy for winning a game, not for getting a job. The version 2 and version 3 Tamas were perfect, and I think they should have stopped with those versions.

Ok, basically, I liked the Tamas better when it was based on care but it really depends in what kind of a situation you're in.

I think skill points should just determine what job you get, not what Tamagotchi you get.

:) i think it that you should get the certain character you want trough good care not sp's i thik it is sort of good that tama's have skill points it & it is sort of bad cause you can never get the tama character you want with skill points. i just don't know!! :) :)

I hadn't played Tamagotchi for ages when I got my V4, and didn't realize that the skill points determine what character you get. I was just pleased that I wasn't getting the same characters every time like I did in V3 (it felt like no matter what I did, I always ended up with Maskutchis and Gozurotchis, I've got a character chart open in my other browser window and I honestly didn't realize how many characters the V3s have, there's loads of them I had never seen)!

I think that probably most Tama owners that aren't active on forums and whatnot probably don't really realize how important the skill points are, and how they determine what Tama you get. It's just us entheusiasts who like things like making growth charts that realize what difference it makes!

Heyy ....

So you know how to get Skill Points ?

Well can you tell me how you get skill points cause i want a job but i don't know how to get skill points...

thanks ...

:]

Heyy ...

So you know how to get skill points ??

Well i have no idea how to..

Can you tell me how ?

I love the skill points feature. I think it's great playing games and seeing how far you can raise your skill points. It's also important for choosing your job, which is cool if you wanted a certain job so you raised more skill points in a certian area.

I also like the fact that it makes it a little easier for people to get a certain Tamagotchi they want by, again, raising more skill points in a paticular area.

lilsisTama: To get skill points, you must play games with your Tamagotchi. Each game gives out skill points. Also, if you send your Tamagotchi to pre-school/school, it also boosts up your skill points. :)

:( 0o-Raspberry-Tama-o0

I'm sorta half/half here. i do think that they should be based on care, but still, lots of skill points means you have been playing with itr alot, therefore caring properly for it. :)
