I've been so frustrated the last two days;

I have a Tamagotchi Connexion I ordered from eBay, and It worked great for the first four days. However, the fourth night the big battery X started flashing, so I used the spare from my North American Connection... I put that in the next day (yesterday) and when I woke up today, that one was dead too! I understand that that is most likely crappy battery luck, but I had another problem... when I got my tamagotchis to connect, the first time worked great, but when I attempted a second time the Connexion told me it was "full"... sure enough when I went to it's friendship log, it had mysteriously filled every slot with a "character"... each entry the same: no picture, ",,,,,,," where the name should have been, and all marked "GIRL" (which i found odd considering it connected to a BOY). No amount of deleting would make room in the notebook, so I restarted it for the 2nd time that day. The North American tamagotchi hasn't had a problem like that. *crosses fingers*

Does anyone know why this happens?!

I think it's safe to say that you have a faulty Tama or it's fake. :)

yes your tamagotchi is deffiantly fake i never heard a real tamagotchi do that

I can't imagine you have a fake. I've not heard of a fake that was any thing like a real tama.

Your problem could be from weak batteries.

I am also very upset about what the American tamagotchis are like.

A small drain on the battery and you've already got the weak battery sign soon to fade to a blank screen.

I tested my alledged dead batteries with the volt meter and they were still some what good.

These new American ones seem to need a very strong voltage to keep working.

My Japanese one is still going so strong and I've had it going almost steady since March!

(I tabbed it up for a week in .. I think it was June)

So It seems that the weird thing that happened might be from a weak battery glitch.

My best advice is to get a non-American tama.

I've not heard any battery problems with the European, Asia-Pacific or Japanese ones.

I'm 100% certain my tamagotchi is real. It says bandai in all the right places, including the copyright on the back. As well, the characters that i've seen are all correct. It's possible that it's faulty, that much I know. I've put a brand new duracell in it, and so far that's working out well. Still doesnt connect to my american tamagotchi properly, but at least it's functioning!

no no, perhaps I wasn't clear. It **IS** the Asian one I'm having problems with!!! That's what I dont get! And it's odd that the American one connects to the asian one fine, but the asian one glitches afterwards. I intend on getting another american one so I have a working pair, and the asian one will be a novelty in my collection, i suppose. =)
