when your tama comes too the breeding age at about 4-6 the matchmaker will come and she will bring a mate.so u dont need another tamagotchi to mate! you only connect when there is 2 tamagotchis to connect!

Ok, listen: YOU CANNOT CONNECT UNLESS YOU HAVE ANOTHER TAMA. Which means, no you cannot have any friends unless you have another tama, or someone you know has one. That simple. Ok? Ok. Also, your tama will continue to fail connections unless you have another tama directly in front of it. No matter how many times you press connect, without another tama, IT WILL FAIL. Again, simple.
