I brought a tamagotchi V5 yesterday and there is no way to pause it. I have looked thoroughly through the instructions and there is no information on how to pause a V5.

Is it a glitch, or doesn't V5 have a pause feature? ;)

Please reply, any help would be appreciated.

 
Where did you get the v5? (If you live in the United states that is)... :p

Go to the TV, and put it on "Travel show" That is what pause is on v5. I think it probably wastes battery, and you could just go to che clock, press A and C, and leave it there instead of setting the time, but then I guess you have to reset the time.

I was wondering this too.

Do I just have to keep it on the travel show to pause it? How long can it stay paused like that?

 
there is no pause feature ;) :wacko:

though you can go to the travel channel and go on vacation, time is not limited :D , for 500 points :eek: , so youll need to go on tama-town for cash, i heard the games are super-hard.

On the FamiTama (Japanese version of the V5) it costs 500 GP to send your family on a trip. However, on the V5 (English-language versions) it's free.

there is no pause feature for tamagotchi v5, but you can take him to travel to stop the growth and u don't have to feed him for like 2 or 3 hours...

 
you have to watch the travel show that is its pause mode it is on the instructions

 
A Tamagotchi V5 DOES pause! It just has a different way than the older versions. All you have to do is activate the travel channel under tv, and that acts as a pause. (it even says in the intstructions [NOTE: Using "TRAVEL SHOW" acts ase the same function of PAUSE MODE from previous versions.]) I hope I've helped you! :( :ph34r: :blink: :lol: :lol: :lol:

 
Something everyone has probably figured out, but a good way to 'pause' tama without it wasting battery is to take a piece of cardstock (or tough paper) and cut it long and thin. Then simply put it into the slot on the side of the tama, the place where you pulled that red and white thing out when you first got the tama. The thing should shut off, and when yoyu want to play again press download. :( :lol: :lol:

Actually, I've only heard of that a few times.

Actually, the effect is even worse than pause/travel mode. It takes time backwards, rather than keeping it the same. The best thing to do is Sleep Mode, which keeps growth forwards while keeping it's hearts the same.

 
If u want the time and date that would be b button if u want to stop aging and wants extera then go to the tv icon select traveling show and when it asks says lets go then when u are bsck prees an button and a menu will show up click back or yes i forgot it will ask u if u r sure click yes hope that helped ;) )))))))))

 
No you can't pause the Tamagotchi v5 but you can go on the travel channel and send him traveling for free wich has the same effects as pausing! (Wich is stated in the instructions)

 
i dnt understand why they never added a pause button like the others...so i herd they are doing a product recal on tama v5's because of it :S

 
The only way to pause it, and it does say so in the instructions, is to go to the tv icon, and go to the travel channel. confirm that you want to travel and this feature acts the same as the pause feature in the previous versions.

 
I think it's time to close this topic since this question has been answered again and again and again and ... (you get the picture)
