Its because its not old enough, i have 5 famitamas that all used the dating chanell but i had to wait until they were adults for 2-3 days, so when you wake up in the morning check on it to see ALSO:

if you have a

mametchi

kuchipatchi

memetchi

violetchi/floweritchi whatever idk what one!

if you marry the mametchi girl youl get a mametchi familly!

The "Mametchi girl" is called Chantotchi.

Here is how to get a special family (when I say "someone else" I mean the matchmaker or another v5/Famitama):

Your Mametchi + Someone else's Chantotchi = Mame family

Your Memetchi + Someone else's Mumutchi = Meme family

Your Kuchipatchi + Someone else's Yonepatchi = Kuchi family

Your Furawatchi + Someone else's Sukatchi = Furawa family

the mametchi girl is chantotchi aka the one shown in the instructions which is not mametchi or kuchipatchi! :furawatchi:

 
They could be not old enough. You have to wait 2-3 days as adults then see what happens.
