my tamagotchis memory has nothing and i am on the third generation!

how can this be?

 
"Memory" is for Tamagotchi characters that have died in your care. (Well, actually, on the V5 instead of dying, they take a flying saucer back to Tamagotchi Planet, but, it's the same thing.)
