Would anybody from North America like to exchange a European Tama (colour of your choice) for an American one when they come out? i think it would be fun to swap international Tamas

Interesting idea. Question for ya.... Will it be potty trained already? :(

I think that it might be a neat thing to do maybe we could keep up with how the swaped tama was doing with its new owner. What it evolved into how many generations came about....

The down side to this idea is that not everyone is honest. Lets say that someone was saying they were going to swap tamas with someone... Then the other one who they were suppose to swap with sends theirs off but the then that first person didnt send theirs. Maybe they don't even have one. Someone is going to be very upset by this.

Or lets say they are honest they do both send them and uh oh one gets lost in the mail! Again someone has lost their tama.

Now I am not saying that would happen or that there are any people like that on here. I am just saying this is a posible thing that could happen. Even though it might be an interesting idea. We must be aware of what could happen.

Its one of those things you have to be careful about.

Hmmm... Good point. We could always set up a point in the middle... Example... TamaTalk could be where both sides send their Tamas... And we, in turn, forward it on to the appropraite person. Or, if one side fails to come through, send back the Tama to its orignal owner. That... Or keep both of them *evil laugh*... kidding... only kidding! :(

Only downside would be extra shipping charges since it goes to two separate destinations (which might make it cheaper to just buy one and have it shipped internationally)...

But a very interesting idea.

It was just an idea i thought might be quite cool. Yeah it would be possible to abuse but i dont think youd send a tama to someone who had only posted a couple of times and was a bit "suss". I wasnt sure if anything would come of it it was just a thought. I picked my tama up for £5 anyway so i cant really complain hehehehehehe

£5?!? For a Tamagotchi Connexion? How did you get that deal?!

It really is a good idea and I like it I was just pointing out what could happen.

Erm "suss"????????? :( :D *Draws a ? above his head and looks confused*

"suss" means (opens pomey to yank dictionary) a little bit dodgy, iffy, a bit of a wheeler dealer. Someone you wouldnt give your tama to even if you had a million of them. That explain things

Ahhh yes that explains things. Thanks! And yes how did you get yours for that much?

Got lucky a while back on an auction. A kid got bought as a birthday present but already got one the same colour from his brother. So i got a Tama for buttons and he got extra pocket money! RESULT he even payed the whole 35p postage

Muwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

haha cool, u conned him ^_^

i need to try get some tama's for cheap coz im low on cash ^_^

I think it is a cool idea. Can you get a black one??? It would be best to ship both with Delivery confirmation so you'd know at least something had been shipped. Or you could both set up a private auction on eBay so you have some legal insurance backing you. Maybe set the bid price a cent and add in the shipping. You could also pay by PayPal which also insures you could get your money back if anything went wrong. My brother wanted a black on but my UK seller was all out. I have a green and a purple one coming soon.

What legal benifits does eBay hold? I got ripped off £40 by someone on there awhile back, and I had no idea what I could do about it(now I've tracked the guy down, and he doesn't live very far away... so I'm gonna pay him a visit very soon!).

Good idea anyway, but there could be problems if sending to admin first as the second lot of postage to be paid (from admin's house to final destination) would have to be in american stamps if sending from UK (abit of a problem getting them in the UK). Plus how would we know how much to send? Or Admin could pay for it all, but that's not fair, or believaible.

Doing it by eBay is definatly the best option so far.

Well this is off topic eBay info but you can file a claim with eBay's Safe Harbor and if it was a forty dollar item they will reimburse you and the other party might get in trouble for fraud. Paypal will suspend your account if you are misusing eBay or PayPal's services. You can get a refund with PayPal in some cases. It isn't 100% foolproof but it is better than just taking someone's word. I think it would be a fun idea. One party might end up paying more for the Tama just because prices vary but shipping isn't too complicated internationally I have done it before and PayPal will convert payments for you.
