I Can Has Tamagotchi?

My Tama v5 is..... I dont know how old. My v4, is 3. How does it determine how old it is? And, how do you tell on a v5? I have the Belltchi, Mousetchi, and a Mattaritchi, on an American v5. But, like I was wondering, does it take, say, 1 wk. for a year? A day? A month?

 
One Earth day (24 Earth hours) is equal to one Tamagotchi Year.

For V5:

baby + 1 hour = toddler

toddler + 48 hours (2 days) = teen

teen + 48 hours = adult

adult + 48 hours = now can mate (use the dating show). They change into parent characters when they mate.

Note: the above are unpaused times.
