My lil' bro has a v4.5 i have a v4... i play with his and it seems... there is no difference! Is it really just the characters?! And if it was... why didn't Bandai just put v4.5 characters to v4? It seems a waste..

V4.5 Has different games, different characters...
Now that you really think, there really isn't much of a difference.... Jumping Rope is when you time pressing a button. Sure enough, Climb is the same.
And some of the v4.5 characters are just different versions of the original tamagotchi characters.... I guess you're totally right. Sure does seem like they didn't make such a good effort on v4.5, the games are alike, characters almost the same looking.

The games are different, the characters, the different skill points, new jobs. It is just a step towards the v5. I think that it was a good idea to make the v4.5 because it gives Bandai more time to make the v5.

The version 4 was our version of the Japanese entama.
The version 4.5 was our version of the Japanese uratama.

The difference between them are that the version 4 introduced the new characters and the mail and job feature.

The 4.5 was so similar, except for the new characters, which looks like most of the characters before except in a "alien" difference.
There are more new jobs, the skill point is deifferent, and they have new games!

I really like the v4.5 because it has the best games, characters, jobs, skills, and more. The v4, was boring, the games took too long to play, If you didn't take care of it well, it turned into a ninja, and more. The v4.5 is better. But I am really into the v5!

it is basically the same as v4 but with new characters and games so yeah it is sort just like the v4 thats why i didn't buy cos i have the character chart and i looked at it and some of the characters were just the same!! its just a rip off really.

I don't think it's a "rip off" because they made it to either entertain kids while they are waiting for the v5 or because they just wanted to make an American version of the Japanese Entama. Either way, I like the v4.5 the best, it has good games and I like the new characters.

The V4.5 isn't necesarily a rip off, It was just our version of the entama as people have said before. There are new characters and games but they are very similar. However thats why its a V4.5 and not its whole other version. ;D

I agree with this. If they called it V5, then it would have been a rip off, because it would have been too similar to the previous version. V4.5 fits well, I think. It's a little bit different, but still a lot in common with V4. It's new, but not completely new, and that's what they sold it as.

Excuse me? I don't really like that and I take that as offensive because I'm a male and I play with Tamagotchis.

I think the V4's games took way too long to play. Putting a V4.5 gives new Tamagotchi owners a chance to decide whether they want to play long or short games. I think the V4.5 characters are better than V4's.
