yes it is true, but actually the time to get 1million np is a time ending with 57seconds example AM 2:30:57sec

10% chance u could to get 1million np ;)

Actually,

it is totally at random.

You could stay up really late, and only get a fruit-thingy.

I've stayed up all night a couple of times, waiting, and nothing happened.

actually it is not really random......

i checked on this coltzan's shrine guid, and it says a time that ends in 57 sec or minutes is 10% u could get 1 million np!

Actually it is true. It happened to my friend once and she called me at like midnight to tell me!

 
This rumor has been put to rest NUMEROUS times by The Neopets Team staff. It is not true. If that were the case then it would give too many people an immediate advantage over soooo many people in just a heartbeat. Sorry to burst your bubble guys =(
