Namco Bandai Ships Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 for Nintendo DS
June 17, 2008 - Leading video games publisher and developer Namco Bandai Games America Inc., announced today that Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 has been shipped to North American retailers for Nintendo DS. Based on the popular virtual pets, help run over a dozen shops with adorable Tamagotchi pals. The Nintendo DS' intuitive touch screen controls add a level of immersion the franchise has never seen.

Bandai Entertaiment Gets Tamagotchi Feature Film
he North American distributor Bandai Entertainment has announced at its Project A-Kon panel on Friday that it acquired the Eiga de Tōjō! Tamagotchi Doki Doki! Uchū no Maigotchi!?, the first feature-length anime film based on Bandai's original electronic pet. The Tamagotchi feature garnered over 700,000 viewers and over 750 million yen (about US$7.5 million) at the Japanese box office.
