Sola finished quite a long time ago. I watched it, but I still think Key/KyoAni stuff (Air, Clannad...) is better. Really.

I thought it was old since.... it only has.... 13 episodes

.. But other than that, I think I maybe heard of that series your talking about, but i'm not to sure.
