ok i have had my aquapet puku for like 2 or 3 years now and like for the last year it was in the dark closet the whole time and now that i took it out the water seems less than before and yellowwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help please i tried taking it apart and refill it but it wont work i dont know what to do

someone just gave me advice about taking the battery out and screw the top off find the thing that is holding the water and dump the water then refill it with distill water could that work?

It maybe more work then you want but... Ask for help (maybe....) Take the battery out... Move it out of the way of water... Unscrew it all... Over a sink, but make sure you remember where things go... (Maybe take pictures as you remove stuff...) Then take the water-tube out and dump it out like normal...(Wash the tube. Refil it to maybe 1 CM is free of water, possibly two. Depending on what character you have... (If it's tall or smaller in height...) Then put it all together carefully... Make sure the water doesn't come out and then put the battery back in... Wah la........

I have yet to remove things to fix mine, but my cousin has done this. So you should be safe to do it as long as your careful.
