I really need some help with replacing batteries f

I have a tamagotchi v5 (from USA) and there were still battery power left in the battery. This morning, my sister took it out of my room and took out the battery and used it for her other tamagotchi(v3)! I told her never to do that again. I was trying to put the battery back in to my v5 ( i had a kuchipa family). The screen said WAIT! Then there's the time setting thing. How do you download your family back? I don't want to reset! What do I do?

Hmmm. I don't think it should have said WAIT.

Generally, you'll see an egg right away. When you see the egg, press the B (middle) button, and the Download / Reset menu will appear.

You can have the Download / Reset menu appear at any time by pressing the reset button on the back.

When the menu is on the screen, select Download. Whatever it has saved from last time will be restored.
