Isn't Limewire illegal?

For those of you who doesn't know what Limewire is, Limewire is a thing you download on your computer and you can get all the songs you want for free, and you can download Limewire on iTunes.

My sister has a Limewire and it says "my mom's name here's Limewire." so I'm afraid if it is illegal (which I'm pretty sure it is) My mom is going to get blamed. Also my friend Melissa (also my sis' friend) had Limewire and I'm worried that she is going to get caught. So does my friend (julia)'s brother, but I don't care for him.

So what is your opinion on Limewire. Frankly I think if it's illegal you shouldn't do it!

Yes, Limewire is illegal, plus it comes with a zillion viruses.

That would explain why my computer has been shutting down for no reason so much! *snaps fingers*

Go get Spybot and Comodo Antivirus. Seriously. Download them for free, because they're meant to be free, and then run scans.

Get spyspweeper. It's really good. I used it when my computer got a virus now I think my computer is a little faster then it was before.

I use it, I've been using it for a while now and trust me, I have not gotten in trouble.

Everyone I know who uses it is ok.

Yeah, it is illeagl but see, if anyone really cared they would have already arrested someone. Everyone knows about so if they had to arrest someone they would have to arrest alot of people.

It is as a lot of people said... My computer isn't slow and I have it...

Oh, and inSANE, people do get caught.

Usually, they Disable your internet for a month, then if it happens again, your internet is terminated.

After that, its a Court case.

Yes, Limewire IS illegal, and it doesn't have tons of viruses (I have yet to get one), but you won't get caught...I know stuff so yeah...I've downloaded so many things from Limewire (246 total things...and climbing..my goal is to reach 300 before Sept. starts) and I haven't gotten a virus (as stated earlier ) or been caught >.< so I will tell you what I tell everyone else!: DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!

It is illegal but you won't get caught.

I personally don't see what's wrong with iTunes. If anyone I knew had something illegal on their computer, I would probably worry about them. I wouldn't want them to get in trouble and ultimately get arrested.

Isn't it only illegal if you're selling those songs for profit?

I have Limewire and have never gotten a virus. And how on earth would you get caught? :/ Police don't just barge into your house asking "ZOMG DO YOU HAVE LIMEWIRE???" That doesn't make any sense to me.

i never had limewire, cause yes, it is illegal. technically (what i heard anyway) downloading from limewire is stealing, because the things you are downloading for free, you usually have to pay for, so basically its like going to a store someone gives you something for free and its pretty much stolen.

sorry for double post, but what you are downloading is stolen from the creator. lets just say you downloaded a hannah montana song (eew) from limewire, you could i think even be sued by miley (she would too shes evil) because you took her song/album without paying. so thats how

I use 360 share Pro now. You get songs for free, if you pay 20 dollars to get the program

that sounds really awesome! since its legal and isnt much id say thats way better then limewire

Also, all internet companys can monitor what you download, also, most companies can too. So when I company thinks somet's wrong, they contact your internet company.

The thing is, my mom has to get the songs for me because she says you can get a visus really easily on there.

But I like it. It works, you get songs xD
