I came across the japanese tamagotchi site and saw something which I cannot believe. It may be a rumor but I don't read japanese....

well, on page 2 of main headers, it shows a coloured pixels (not black/grey pixels screen we have from past tamas) and a new look.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had previously seen a photo provided by a Japanese friend, of a Bandai Catalog page showing it. It's due to come out in Japan later this year, probably around November 23 (the traditional date for new Tamagotchi releases.) I've heard it will be rather expensive, about 5000 yen. That's about $50.00. Anyway... there should be more information available at the link you provided, by the end of this month.

I hope the new model will be available for asian countries next march 2008.

i've seen a picture of them too but i hope they don't cost $50 thats a lot also they might be fake because they don't have an anntena and the red bit at the top for connecting looks quite small

They cannot be fake! They are on a Bandai website (I think...)

Yup. There's an image of a pink one on Bandai Japan's site.

There's a small bit of info, saying that there will be more information on a "Rebirth" Tamagotchi at the end of the month.

Oh sweet. It looks really great! I don't know if I would spend so much money on a tamagotchi though..
Did anyone notice that it actually has the number 7 on that ad? Maybe it's tamagotchi v7...? Haha : D

Hopefully they'll release in Canada, I'd like to have a look at some of those :3

Can you provide a link to a Bandai press release stating this? Or, is your post just wishful thinking?

Bandai Japan posted a new animation on their Tamagotchi Plus Color page, the animation shows a Tamagotchi being hatched on the Tamagotchi Plus Color! It's actually very interesting and looks great in color! The Tamagotchi babies on the Tamagotchi Plus color are mushroom-like which is refreshing compared to the current babies on the Tamagotchi Celebrity V5 and Familitchi.
