So here's the tip:
If your Tama has the florist/bakery job, you can press button A to speed up the movement of the objects, therefore increasing your score faster
I get 'excellent's all the time now that I know the trick! 
h34r: And remember to release the claw earlier than the pictured object arrives directly underneath it
