ok so i just got a origanal taMA and i want to know if its a p2 or a p1. its really small and its real for sure/ i got it off my 17 yeer old bruthers freind who didnt want it. it was small ,yellow and striped black like a tiger/ i dont have a digital camera so i cant show i pic of it. but its either a p1 or p2 OH and it has four icons on each side.

In general, to tell a P1 from a P2:

The LCD background is different between P1 & P2. The P1 has a checkered background.

The P2 has a swirly background.

Here are pictures where you can clearly see the backgrounds.

P1: https://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g310/bin...1background.jpg

P2: https://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g310/bin...2background.jpg

The characters shown on the box artwork are different between P1 & P2. If you still have the box, look on the back, near the bottom. If you can see Mametchi, it's a P1. If you can see Mimitchi, it's a P2.

The instruction sheets for both the P1 & P2 are available online, here at TamaTalk.
