tamagotchi v5 help

hi, i'm planning to get tamagotchi v5 as a gift for frens and maybe myself. but i notice that there is 2 different package for it. 1 of the package comes with a cd and the other don't.

my question is:

what are the cd for?

if i got the cd, can the tamagotchi with the non-cd package use it too?

The two packages contain different types of Tamagotchis. The V5 without the CD-ROM is a regular V5. The V5 with the CD-ROM is the V5 Celebrity model. The main differences between the regular and Celebrity models are the types of characters (and families) you can raise, and the built-in games.

The CD-ROM contains games for your Windows-based computer that are Tamagotchi related, but you don't need to use them with your Tamagotchi. Actually, the prize code given out by the CD-ROM when you finish all the games is for the regular V5.
