(Continuing From Where Part 2 Left Off)

When Chiqui woke back up, she was on a very comfortable bed. She looked around and wondered at first, Where am I?! but then she remembered what had happened hours earlier. She looked around and saw Ofine sitting in an armchair by a fireplace. When Ofine noticed Chiqui looking at him, he smiled and said, "How did you sleep, dear sister?" Chiqui didn't understand why Ofine was so calm, but she answered. "Good enough. How did you find me? I didn't know who you were, I didn't know how to react..." Her voice trailed off. "Do you like stories," asked Ofine. Chiqui wasn't sure why he was getting off topic, but she nodded. He said, "Okay. I'm going to tell you about your birth and how I found you. Listen closely, dear. Are you ready?" Chiqui snuggled under the covers and leaned on the pillow. "Ready," she said. Ofine inhaled and started.

It was ten years ago, dear. You were first born, and mother and father were quarreling. I came downstairs and said, "Mother and father, can I please see dear sister?" I looked at you and said you were beautiful. Mother threw you in the mud outside, and then you were gone. Father and I searched but could not find you. I heard rumors in the city about five years later about some wild girl living in the outskirts of Seventeen Branches Ranch. I found you, so then I came back for you later but you were gone. I found you in the middle of the forest, wounded and sobbing... and you know the rest.

Chiqui said, "Where are mother and father?" Ofine frowned and said, "I don't know dear. I left home in search for a better life, going anywhere our wicked mother wouldn't be." Chiqui gasped and shouted, "How can you call our mother wicked? She loved us enough to care for us, even if it wasn't a lot! I must have slipped out of her hands when she went outside!" Ofine stayed calm and replied, "If you knew her, you'd understand." Chiqui got out of bed and walked over to his armchair. She looked him straight in the eye and said, "I'm going to find my mother and prove to you she is a great woman. Just you wait and see, Ofine!" And with that, she stormed out of the bedroom. Ofine sighed and whispered, "Oh dear, I've made a mess. I wonder where I'll rescue her next."
