When does life begin for a Tama?

There could be tons of different views on this. Some say that it begins the moment the egg appears on screen or when the cute little baby character appears happily after their parents' marriage. Others may think that the baby character only becomes an individual 'life form' after its parents had left and it had been named, because it is then that the Tama is an independent character with its own needs that are not connected to its parents'. I think a Tama's 'life' starts at its time of creation, but they are only officially given their unique 'humanity' when it becomes an independent individual.

I see what you mean,

I personally think that a tama's life starts when it is on the screen with its parent, but it has freedom when the parents leave. Since you can't take care of it (you can, but sorta, not really, if you know what I mean..) unitl the parent leaves, to me it is like when in real life, when a mother gets pregnant. She feeds the child and practically takes care of it, even though it's not born yet, and on its own.

So when my tama's have kids with them, that's what it reminds me of.

1st generation- when its an egg

2nd and up- the second it is born

I think it like starts when like, eggs are generated at Tama Planet. Then the second one goes down to a toy, a new egg is made. ^_^

I guess for the first generation of tamagotchi you have, the life starts from the moment the egg appears on screen/hatches, and for generation 2 + it's when the baby first appears on the screen

I think the tama is very much alive inside the egg... but it's "official" life doesn't start until hatching and naming the baby!

I think the tamas life (Which is a wonderful one!) starts when it has hatches from its egg and has started to bob up and dwon across the screen. (Soo cute!)

I say that life for a tamagotchi starts when the babies start crying after you name them. Thats when you feeed them, clean them, etc.

The tamagotchi's life starts, in my opinion, when the baby is all alone and is named and cared for.
