Book Reconmendations?

My mum and i have been reading the same books (i'm trying to get her into reading.) We are reading Born Free, A Lioness of Two Worlds by Joy Adamson (but i'm finished, shes not) but i don't know what to read next. Any suggestions?

She HATES horror and refuses to go NEAR Harry Potter so I'm stuck for choices. Please help me!!!

the book Schooled by Anisha Lakhani isnt very popular but an AMAZING book. BUT you have to be mature and a good reader to understand it but it's a great book

A great classic about friends, family, fun and kindness is Little Women. I think she'd really enjoy it; it's a lovely book.

Hmmm....I am personally fond of Kira-Kira. It's family friendly, and heartwarming. Another favorite is A Dog's Life: The Autobiography of a Stray. A great one if you both are into warming animal stories.

Well, what about the Twilight series?

It goes in this order so if you decide to read it, read it in order:

Twilight

New Moon

Eclipse

Breaking Dawn

I highly suggest just going to WalMart or Target and buying the books. Librarys everywhere are always out of those books.

The Summoning is good. It's for the most part about ghosts.

There's a topic about it somewhere in Stuff we Read.

It's a trilogy, but only the first is out as of yet. Second comes out in May.

The Dark Night series is good, but there are only four (out of 9+) out yet.

Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, and Untamed.

Those are about Vampires.

Next one comes out in March.

They're good, but unfinished series.

Umm..well..my favourite books are: Narnia, The Key to Rondo (abit too childish for adults) and Harry Potter (as you said, your mum wont go near it).

I'm reading Breaking Dawn right now, it's REALLY good. You should read Twilight, it's great!

Err.. Right now I'm reading Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy, it's got stuff about magic and things in (if that's why your mom won't go near Harry Potter), but otherwise a great book

And I'm reading The Looking Glass Wars... It's a good book, adventurous, but it's got a lot of fighting in it :S

And then Journey to the River Sea is an EXCELLENT book... I absolutely love it...

And the Lionboy series are good
