New Owner in Need of HELP!

Hello All.

Hope you don't mind a grown up Mummy joining in. My 7 year old has charged me to look after his Tamagotchi in the daytime while he's at school (the fact I am at work doesn't matter). Anyway, I find it fascinating but I need help.

1. I don't know it's name (or how to find it)

2. It beeps sometimes and I don't know what to do with it

3. It's 3 years old and 20grams. Is this OK.

4. It does this thing where I can't see it's face and a wee puff of something comes out the left side. It doesn't let me do anything at this point. Is it in trouble?

ps It did a really cool thing on the way home from work. It was singing!

I assume we're talking about a Tamagotchi Connection, not an origional, correct?

1. To find it's name, click the A (first) button once to highlight the first icon, then again to bring up it's Hungry/Happy meter. Keep clicking A to scroll through the list of stats, including it's name.

2. Check it's Hungry/Happy meter. If they're empty, feed/play with it. If it has a skull/tooth hovering by the Tama, give it 1-2 shots of medicine (the first aid kit). If nothing looks wrong, Discipline it... it was just crying for attention.

4. It wants attention, but this time Praise it. It was feeling lonely and depressed. :/

I suggest reading the manual. If you can't seem to find it (hehehe), go here: https://www.peppersoup.net/tamasquare/tamaplus.php It translates the Japanese version (Tamagotchi Plus) but should still be pretty accurate.

one correction to find its name click the A (First) button once to highlight the first icon, then press B (the second one) to bring up its happy/hungry meter. Keep clicking A to scroll through the list of stats, including it's name.

Basically:

A (first button) is to move through the icons or menus

B (second button) is to select
