Hello all!
I am trying to gather info to help me make a decision about the site... The decision is basically about priorities. Having a chat room on TamaTalk is somehting a lot of people wanted for a long time. We tried some others before the current one but they slowed the whole server down and made the entire site miserable to use (which is why we stopped using them). We ended up moving to using Addonchat's chat service since they host it (which kept our server running smoothly) and it still allowed people to log in with their TamaTalk account. The one catch is that Addonchat costs money ($125 per year) to keep running. The bad economy is making this difficult for a lot of people and this includes TamaTalk. Basically, I don/'t know if I can afford to pay for the chat once our current year expires in late April...

I wanted ask people stuff about chat.

I've noticed the Chat has been quiet for some time - especially when a whole bunch of regular chatters started to use mibbit instead.

TamaCHAT is definitely not used as much as it was (say) 6 months ago.

How long do you usually stay on it?- Well the 2 times I have been on about 15 minutes.
How would you feel if it went away?- Personally, it wouldn't bother me that much. The timesI have been on I haven't seen a lot of members on. I think that if the bad economy is hurting the ability to keep it running, maybe just don't renew it just yet and then come back to it later when it wont be an issue.

I stay on there for hours on end... I would stay there all day if I could. But apparently my parents find me spending half of my breathing hours inside talking to people nowhere near me is unhealthy. I have no idea who taught them logic.
I would die if it got closed. I would wear a black armband and not leave my bed for a week. I love TC D: Half of the people in my cellphone's contacts list I met through TamaCHAT.<3

I use it everyday I'm on TT for the most part.
I stay on for about 1-6 hours, depending on the time I go on.
I'd be pretty disappointed if it was gone, but I'd totally understand.

I don't use it.
I went on once, and was bullied beyond belief lol. I stayed on for 3 minutes trying to get people to shut up about me and others.
I would be quite happy if it went away!

Do you use it? Yes. I get on as often as I can. It's tough with my school and track schedule, but anytime I'm home, I'm on Tama Chat.
