I just thought of something that could be a good discussion, do you think Japanese Tamagotchis are better than American Tamagotchis. I have just gotten my TMGC+C today and from my experience with it I think that japanese tamas might be better. They are certainly more complex. Them being in all Japanese doesn't bother me one bit! So I want to know what everyone else thinks, Japanese or American?

I've never had a Japanese Tamagotchi, so I'm not sure.

But from what I've heard, I do think the Japanese ones might be better.

It always seems that the Japan-exclusive ones are better.

But I'm happy with the American/European ones. ^^

i love all kinds of tamagotchi but the japenese always get more tama, tamas befor us, and more complex ones that are only relesed in japan. so i kinda think they have it better tamagotchi wise. i wish they would let amarica have the cooking feature and the tamagotchi color too!

Definitly the Japanese ones! There's no way to change my mind. They always have so much more features! And most things on them make sense.

Whenever Bandai Japan re-use an idea on the next Tamagotchi, they always change some things so it will fit in. But the Americans never do! And if they don't the British don't either! I don't know if the others(France, Germany, Spain, Poland, etc.) do, but the British don't! It's the same on the websites. -_-

Example

On the V3 Tamatown, at the end of the intructions for the suitcase game, it says that you can win a suitcase. But in the V4 Tamatown, where you can still play the game, it still says you can win a suitcase when you can't! You can only win Gotchi Points! B)

Another thing was that those sissy American so-called "Child experts" always say that it has gone to the Tamagotchi Planet instead of saying that it has died (well, that's on the websites). But in the instructions, it says it has died. Eventually they changed the function so in the English language versions, it doesen't die anymore! It gets taken to it's home planet. But I kinda prefer that, because then I know that the Tamagotchi is alive, AND it stops those annoying idiots at my school from contantly asking "has it died yet?"

i know its not fair

I have a KeiTama, and it comes with lots of extra instructions and picture poses in the pack.

It's good fun so far, and a good way to learn Japanese!

Anyway, only if they had more features, brought some more Japanese releases to the US and Europe and made the instructions more informative [not so bad], then I bet you that lots more people would probably like Tamagotchis a bit more!

I dunno if that would work, buts its just a suggestio for BanDai.

The american ones.

Mainly because I only know 1 language.

English.

I like the american ones but i prefer the japanese tamagotchi's most of all. The only 2 japanese one's i played with were the osu/mesu pair and a umino tamagotch which was hard as heck to care for!

European, because i can actually read what it says.

And since i live in the UK, Japanese would be of no use to me.

Cya! :D

I definitely prefer the Japanese Tamagotchi to the European/American ones.

I recently got two EnTama and an UraTama, and when I started playing with them, I thought, "Why didn't the rest of the world get Tamagotchi like these?" I definitely prefer them to the V4 and V4.5.

European, because i can actually read what it says. And since i live in the UK, Japanese would be of no use to me.
I live in the UK, too, and I find the Japanese Tamagotchi don't require much of an understanding of Japanese. They're really easy to care for, and I don't know a word of Japanese. XD

The only problem I have with them is naming them. XD But I do use online guides to help me, so even that's not a problem.

The japanese one are really better my mom got me a famitama before it came out in the USA and asia and there are much more tamas there its awesome!!!    and to add to that i don't have much trouble with the japanese language cause i spoke it when i was in grade 2 but now i'm a sophomore (in the philippines there no more 7th grade you'll be a high school student after 6th grade) and i still understand some of the words but not completely    :(
