I don't know why anyone collects the old ones - they are so vastly inferior and expensive to find. I collected them for awhile, but I think they kind of suck. They only have one game, and there is no breeding, so what's the point?

I collect the older vesions. I find them very entertaining and great. They (i agree) do not have as many features as the newer ones, but they have centermental value to me. :lol:

 
I am not sure what they are like, seeing as I have never had one, but my big bro said he used to have one, he didn't take care of it much so it keped sailing away on it's little boat... sad :unsure:

actually the japanase osucthi & metchui(sp?s) could mate and the filled up the screen when the weighed to much which tama cons do not do. Really they're pretty smilar to tama cons.

 
i collect the old tamagotchis but i haven't found them to be expensive at all. i have 6 of them, 3 p1 and 3 p2, and i didn't have to pay anything for them. i just asked my friends if they had bought tamagotchis from back in the day and if they weren't using them if i could have them. i got three that way, and the other three a penpal sent to me in exchange for some bracelets i made.

i don't collect them but i have one from my 6th birthday its the very first made tama from the 96's

They're still fun to play with. They have that vintage original feel. I don't know, I'd want one just to feel the nostalgia of back in...what was it 1995 when I first had one.

 
Yes, but be honest. The nostalgia feel is over rated. The buttons aren't as responsive as the new ones, the games stink kinda, and there is no IR communication. They are cool to have, but playing them isn't all it was hyped up to be.

 
The old tamas bring back a lot of memories for me. I was so obsessed when I was like 9 yrs old and had like 5. They arer stil lwicked cute and make you think "the 90s rocked!"

Well, Imwould be proud toi have an old version, Just because they don't have all ofmthe new features it doesn't mean they aren't nice to have or not worth it. I think it would be cool to have them and I like collecting them. :chohimetchi:

 
i collect a bunch of the old versions. If yuo are a true tamagotchi fan then you will see the pride in collecting the older versions!!
